An ecosystem is the sum total of the surrounding .this means it involves both plants and animals .the ecosystem also has non living components

The components of the ecosystem exist mutually drawing benefits from each other .for example humans depend on plants for food at the same time plants depend on animals if they die and decompose and again plants depend on carbon released by anomals
