Disadvantages of multipurpose project:

1. It induces earthquake.

2. Displacespopulation.

3. Effects aquatic life.

4. River water gets diverted.

5. Forests also get submerged under dams.

There are several advantages of Multipurpose project :-

★ This project is generally used for the power generation using high flow of water.

★ Water is the cheap and efficient for the production of energy at cheap rate and it is also pollution free.

★ This project also control the excess flow of water which secure the land from flood.

★ This project help to convert River sorrows into River boon.

Now Disadvantages :-

★ Dams creates difficult life for aquatic animals.

★ Due to this project many people shifted from one place to another due to risk

★ When the excess water removed from dam then it may create waterbone diseases and Earthquake.

★ Dams create problem for aquatic life (Ex- Producing Egg)

★ Dams create soil erosion which is not good for Environment.
