\mathfrak{\blue{Solution.}}mean of excluded one no.
-----------------------------------   = 28
            5
mean of excluded one no.  = 140

The mean of 5 nos. = 30
sum of 5 nos
------------------  =   30
       5
sum of 5 nos = 150
sum of 4 nos. + x =150

140 + x   = 150
      x = 150 - 140
     x = 10
so excluded number is 10

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

hi..

your answer is -

Let a,b,c,d and e are five numbers

mean = (a +b+ c+ d+e)/5 = 30

⇒ (a +b+ c+ d+e) = 150_______(1)

now, Let the number excluded be a

then, new mean =  (b+ c+ d+e)/4 = 28

⇒ (b+ c+ d+e)= 112

putting this value in (1),

⇒a + 112 = 150

⇒a = 150 -112 = 38

∴ excluded number = 38
