Equator and Tropic of Capricorn pass through Brazil. Equator passes through the northern part of Brazil, so the climate of northern Brazil is hot and humid throughout the year. The Tropic of Capricorn passes through the southern Brazil. Thus, the southern Brazil experiences temperate climate. It means it is hot during summers and cold during winters.

The Tropic of Cancer passes almost middle of India. The southern part of India is near to the Equator. Thus, India experiences tropical and subtropical type of climate. India also has a monsoon type of climate since its climate is influenced by the Monsoon winds.

Both India and Brazil have a long coastline which influences its climatic conditions. While Brazil receive rainfall from South East and North-East Trade winds, India receive rainfall from South west Monsoon winds. The North East Trade Winds are dry and do not bring rainfall except in some parts of Tamil Nadu during the winter season.
