1) draw base QR = 8 cm

2) Draw a 60 degree angle with Q as center and extend it as far as you can. Call this line 'x'

3) we have been told that PQ-PR = 3.5 cm. So, with your compass, take radius 3.5 cm and cut the line drawn in step 2) at a point. Name it D.

4) Join D and R

5) Then construct a perpendicular bisector for DR. Name that bisector line 'y'

6) keep on extending 'y' until line x and line y intersect each other. Their point of intersection id desired point P

7) Join P to Q and then R
