No, English should not be an optional subject it should be compulsory subject for any student any school. Because its a very need of English in today's world.
like hindi it should also be compulsory.

No, English should be a must have since it is called the "universal language", if you go to a country whose native language is something you don't know to speak you can always speak English and they will most likely understand, hence English is necessary for students to survive in foreign countries...
