potential energy is energy acquired by object when it gain some height.
formula to calculate=mgh
1*1*10
10joule of energy

POTENTIAL ENERGY=

                  The energy stored in an object due to its specific state or position is called as Potential Energy.

  In the above numerical,

g= 10 m/s²

mass(m)= 1 kg

According to formula of potential energy,

P.E.=m*g*h

     =1*10*1

     =10 J

THEREFORE, Potential Energy stored in the object is 10 J.

hope this helps you......
