Demerits of Mendeleev period table...He was unable to locate hydrogen in the periodic table. Increase in atomic mass was not regular while moving from oneelement to another. Hence, the number of elements yet to be discovered was not predictable.

2) No position for isotopes.

3) Couldn't explain about the position of cobalt and nickel.
