they were appointed by east India company.
they were appointed to supervise the weavers.
they were given the power on weavers to make cloths.
to supervise the working if weavers rejected to work.
to supervise and examine the quality of cloths.
before weaving the villagers are paid with money by gomasthas so villagers should not work fr other.
