Cyclic phosphorylation is the type of phosphorylation that takes place when a cyclic electron transfer occurs. Phosphorylation is a part of photosynthesis that takes place when phosphate is added to the presence of light, and it is necessary to provide the energy needed to convert ADP to ATP during photosynthesis.
Non-Cyclic Photophosphorylation. The photophosphorylation process which results in the movement of the electrons in a non-cyclic manner for synthesizing ATP molecules using the energy from excited electrons provided by photosystem II is called as non-cyclic photophosphorylation.
