the Himalayan consists of three parallel ranges in its longitudinal extent. the northernmost range is known as the greater or in a reminder or the Himadri. the most attractive mountain system and is known as Himachal or lesser Himalaya. The outermost range of the Himalayas is called the shivaliks.

1. They are known as Young fold mountains.
2. They are most recent landforms.
3. They formed an unstable zone.
4 The whole system of himalayas represents very youthful topography with some river and rivers and their heights.
