Given:

☛ diameter of circle = 8 cm

We know, diameter = 2 × radius

=> radius = 4 cm

To Find:

☛ Area of circle

☛ perimeter of circle

Solution:

We know,

➜ Area of circle = π × radius²

☛ π × 4²

☛ 16π cm²

Also,

➜ Perimeter of Circle = 2 × π × radius

☛ 2 × π × 4

☛ 8π cm

You can substitute the value of π, but writing 8π instead of 8×3.14 => 25.12 , is also fine.

{\underline{\underline{\large{\mathtt{QUESTION :-}}}}}

Diameter of a circle is 8 cm. Then find out the area and perimeter of the circle.

{\underline{\underline{\large{\mathtt{ANSWER :-}}}}}

Area of circle is 50.29()cm² and perimeter of circle is 25.14()cm.

{\underline{\underline{\large{\mathtt{SOLUTION:-}}}}}

Given :-

  • Diameter of the circle = 8 cm.

To find :-

  • Area and perimeter of the circle.

Solution :-

Let the radius of the circle be r cm.

Diameter = 8 cm.

We know,

{\boxed{\sf{\green{Diameter=2\times\:Radius}}}}

So, Radius (r) = 8/2= 4 cm.

We know,

{\boxed{\sf{\blue{Area\:of\: circle=\pi\:r^2}}}}

Area of circle= πr²

→Area of circle=\sf{\frac{22}{7}\times\:4\times\:4\:cm^2}

→Area of circle=\sf{\frac{352}{7}\:cm^2}

→Area of circle= 50.29()cm²

We know,

{\boxed{\sf{\purple{Perimeter\:of\: circle=2\pi\:r}}}}

Perimeter of circle= 2πr

→ Perimeter of circle=\sf{2\times\:\frac{22}{7}\times\:4\:cm}

→Perimeter of circle=25.14(≈)cm
