Biodegradable- If much of domestic sewage papers, wood , garbage, livestock wastes, etc are easily degraded completely by microorganisms , it becomes useful. but if these material enter in the environment un such large quantities, they can not be degraded completely then addition of these material couse pollution in environment.

Non biodegradable- many of such pollution are usually not degraded or degraded partially in environment, such as aluminum packs, mercury compounds, iron, compounds of phenol.
