Collenchyma is a simple plant tissue Collenchyma cells have thin primary walls with some areas of secondary thickening. Collenchyma provides extra structural support, particularly in regions of new growth.
But chlorenchyma cells are a type of collenchymatus cells which have chlorophyll in them and they help in photosynthesis.

Hi there!!

Chlorenchyma :-

1) In collenchyma chloroplast containing
parenchyma cells.

2) It has isodiamatric cells

3) Chlorenchyma cells are not interlocked.

4) This cell wall has soft uniformly thin cell wall.

Collenchyma :-

1) Chloroplast may be present or absent within the cell.

2) In transverse section the cell look elongated and angular .

3) By their ends walls the cells are interlocked.

4) This cell wall has hard unevenly thickened cell wall

i hope you understand .....

DiptiSagarMishra: Bimal bro..u described it so well...... I am a student of class 9 and you?
Pranshukamra: first tell me that chlorenchyma and aerenchymAa r same or collenchyma and aerenchyma r same??
Pranshukamra: he is in 11
Pranshukamra: tell plz fast
enormous010: i think it not same
Pranshukamra: one is same i m little confused
enormous010: ok
Pranshukamra: cn u clear my doubt??
DiptiSagarMishra: Collenchyma which havie air spaces in between them..provide buoyancy to plant...these collenchyma are called aerenchyma..
