Finite sequence is a sequence of numbers related by some rule. The number of the numbers in the sequence is finite or limited.
1 + 2 + 3 + 4
In this the sum is always bound. The last term is known.
Infinite sequence is a sequence of numbers which does not terminate.
1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + .......∞
In this the sum is not bound. Thus in some sequences the sum is bound and in some infinite sequences the sum is bound.
1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + ......∞
1 + 2 + 3 + 4
In this the sum is always bound. The last term is known.
Infinite sequence is a sequence of numbers which does not terminate.
1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + .......∞
In this the sum is not bound. Thus in some sequences the sum is bound and in some infinite sequences the sum is bound.
1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + ......∞
