Let the first part be x
the second part will be 19-x
x² + (19-x)² = 193
x² + 361 + x² - 38x = 193
2x² - 38x + 168 = 0
factorising it, we get
2x² - 14x - 24x +168 = 0
2x(x- 7) - 24 (x - 7) = 0
(2x - 24) (x - 7) = 0
x = 12 and x = 7 are the two parts

Answer:

x = 12 and x = 7 are the two parts

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the first part be x

the second part will be 19-x

x² + (19-x)² = 193

x² + 361 + x² - 38x = 193

2x² - 38x + 168 = 0

factorising it, we get

2x² - 14x - 24x +168 = 0

2x(x- 7) - 24 (x - 7) = 0

(2x - 24) (x - 7) = 0

x = 12 and x = 7 are the two parts
