Nope velocity is not constant as direction is changing in every point.. But speed is constant..

Acceleration is only due to change in direction in uniform circular motion..

..

I explained all this in my own language.. Hope you understand ❤️

Before goin' towards our question we've to understand what is meant by uniform circular motion and accelerated motion.

 \large{\bold{Uniform\:circular\:motion\::\:-}}

A body is said to be in uniform circular motion if it's travelling in a circular path at a constant speed.

For example : - An artificial satellite orbiting Earth a particular height with a constant speed.

 \large{\bold{Accelerated\:motion\::\:-}}

An accelerated motion is the motion where the velocity is continuously changing.

For example : - Fallin' of a ball from a particular height where it's speed would increase. Which is one of the type of a accelerated motion.

Now we can come up with our questions, which is,

Does the velocity remains constant in a uniform circular motion and is it called as accelerated motion?

When an object is travelling in a circular path the acceleration is always changing because the direction is changing at every point. The velocity is constant but the acceleration is changing at every point though is called as accelerated motion where the velocity remains constant in a uniform circular motion.

Thus, the velocity remains constant in a uniform circular motion and it is called as accelerated motion.
