Draw x-axis and y-axis on a graph
mark their point of intersection as origin.
Mark the following points to draw the line
3x - 2y = 4 on the graph:
Let x = 0 ⇒ y = -2 ------- (0, -2)
Let y = 1 ⇒ y = 2 -------- (1, 2)
Mark the following points to draw the line x + y - 3 = 0 on the graph
:Let x = 0 ⇒ y = 3 ------- (0, 3)
Let y = 0 ⇒ y = 3 ------- (3, 0)
Draw lines joining the above points.
Notice that the coordinates of the point of intersection of the straight lines are (2,1).
