earthing saves tall building from destruction due to lightning because there is a big rod whose one end is free in the air and other end is in the earth . It is made up of metal
so lightning atracts to that rod and charges is are passed to the earth through rod so there is no destruction

In order to protect our house from building , Benjamin Franklin discovered a device called lighting conductor .It is fixed to outside wall of the house. It's lower end put deep in the ground.When lightning starts the it goes from the lighting conductor to the ground nd the charge discharges when coming in contact with the earth.
