The sum of the interior angles (a,b,c) of a triangle is 180°.

a+b+c=180°

The sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°. We make use of this for the angle sum property.

Since the sum of all angles is 180°,

a+b+c= 180   (let a,b and c be the angles of a triangle)

similarly,

if we want to find angle c, we can take the other angles on the other side by transposition. So,

c= 180- a - b

This helps us to find the missing angle.

This is the angle sum property of triangles.

Example:-

1. in a triangle abc angle bac = 50° and angle acb= 70°. find angle abc.

solution:- angle bac + angle + acb + angle abc = 180

angle abc = 180- angle bac - angle acb
= 180 - 50 -70
=60°

∴ angle abc is 60°

----- hope it helped
