Answer :-

Some economical and water saving method of irrigation has been devised . Modern method of irrigation ate more inclined towards the use of diesel, biogas, solar energy and electricity for lifting water . Sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation are the most common modern method of irrigation .

Sprinkler irrigation system :-

This irrigation system has and arrangement of vertical pipe with rotating nozzles on the top . These fights are connected to the main pipeline at regular intervals . Water is allowed to flow through the main pipe under pressure in order to get sprinkled on the crop as if it is raining . It is more useful on the uneven and Sandy land where sufficient water is not available .

Drip irrigation system :-

This eraser action system has and arrangement of pipe or tube with very small hole in them to water plants drop by drop just at the base of the roots . It is very efficient as water is not wasted at all . It is good for watering fruit plants and gardens, etc where there is poor availability of water .
