Friction always act in opposite motion, It occur whenever two surface touch. There is two type of friction Kinetic friction and static friction.If force of friction is greater than the applied force called static friction. If still need to apply force to keep the object sliding is kinetic friction. Example of kinetic friction is friction between the two pages of a book when turning the page. However example of static friction is when a person walk the friction between feet and ground is static friction
