Tiger is in the top of the food chain. It helps to maintain the population of the herbivores. If there will be no tiger, the herbivores population will go on increasing. Then the will harm the small plants and small animals by destroying their habitat. That is why, extinction of tiger can destabilise the entire ecosystem.

Answer:

because tigers are one of the main carnivorous species in the forest ecosystem. If the tigers get extinct the herbivores species will be increased and led to deplete in grasses and plants . That's why the decrease of tiger population will harm the allover ecosystem of the forest.
