Let,

Original Length = L and

Original Breadth = B

Area of Original field = LB

Change in Length & Breadth lead to,

New Length = 1.25L

New Breadth = 0.85B

New Area = 1.25L x 0.85B = 1.0625LB

% Change in Area = (New Area - Original Area)/Original Area

⇒ LB (1.0625 - 1)/ LB

⇒ 0.0625

⇒ 6.25%

Answer is (c)
