When egg is not get fertilised it live about 2 days, the uterine wall which had got spongy to receive the fertilised egg , the spongy layer along with the blood vessels and unfertilised egg and blood will move out through the vagina. This process is called menstruation which occurs once in every month. Its period is about 4 - 8 days.
