1 liter = 1 dm^3

so,

5 liter = 5 dm^3

step by step :

1 dm = 10 cm

10 *10 *10 cm

= 1000cm^3 =1 dm^3

we know that,

1 cm^3 =1 ml

so, 1000cm^3 = 1000ml

1000 ml = 1 litre

so,
1 litre = 1dm^3

kithmini: no, 1 litre = 1 dm3
anildeshmukh: Cube of 1 is 1 hence it is likely
anildeshmukh: But cube of 5 is not 5 it is 25
anildeshmukh: Try 2 understand
kithmini: No,in ur way also i think it should be 5*5*5 =125
kithmini: but im sure it is five
kithmini: think, if one litre = 1 dm3, how 5 litre = 125 dm3? and if there is 1 dm3 in a 1 litre bottle,how 5 * 1 litrebottle = 125 *onelitre bottle, ( 125 * 1 dm3 )
anildeshmukh: That is
anildeshmukh: Sorry for mistake l have answered 2instead of 125
kithmini: it s ok
