The two numbers given are :-
1/5
and
1/4
so,
1/5
=(1×4)/(5×4)
=4/20
= (4×4)/(20×4)
=16/80
and
1/4 = (1×5)/(4×5)
= 5/20
=(5×4)/(20×4)
=20/80
=>(1/5= 16/80),17/80,18/80,19/80,(1/4= 20/80)
therefore,
17/80 , 18/80 , 19/80 are three rational numbers between 1/5 and 1/4
1/5
and
1/4
so,
1/5
=(1×4)/(5×4)
=4/20
= (4×4)/(20×4)
=16/80
and
1/4 = (1×5)/(4×5)
= 5/20
=(5×4)/(20×4)
=20/80
=>(1/5= 16/80),17/80,18/80,19/80,(1/4= 20/80)
therefore,
17/80 , 18/80 , 19/80 are three rational numbers between 1/5 and 1/4

hey!!
here is your answer >>>
Practically, to find Number of rational numbers between any two fractions! we will have to Make these equivalent fractions, that is to make their denominators equal!.
1/4 and 1/5!
LCM is 20!
so,
we have to multiply 1/4 with 5 and 1/5 with 4!.
that is , 5/20 and 4/20!
But there are no rational numbers between them!.
Inorder to get rational numbers , we will have to make them equal!.
Let us multiply both the denominators and neumerators with 10!
We will get,
50/200 and 40/200!
Now we can write rational numbers between them!
41/200, 42/200, 43/200
Hope this helps!
