let the number be ' x '

according to question ,

1 / 5 of x + 30 = 1 /4 of x - 30

x / 5 + 30 = x / 4 - 30

x / 5 - x / 4 = - 30 - 30

( 4x - 5x ) / 20 = - 60

- x = 20 × ( - 60 ) = - 1200

- x = -1200 => x = 1200

therefore , required number is 1200

let the no. be x...
as
= x/5 + 30 = x/4 - 30
= x + 150/5 = x - 120/4
= 4x + 600 = 5x - 600
= x = 1200p
