It is an Arithmetic progression as given , therefore a1 =5 , a2=4.5

Therefore d =a2-a1 =-0.5

And first term = 5,

Therefore n th term = a+ (n-1)d

Therefore 25 th term = 5+ (25-1)(-0.5)

25th term = 5-12

25 th term = -7

 \large{ \underline{ \sf{Given :-}}}

  • \sf{a = 5}
  • \sf{d= 4.5 - 5 = - 0.5}
  • \sf{n = 25}

 \sf \:  a_{n} = a + (n - 1)d \\{ \sf a_{25} = 5 + (25 - 1) - 0.5} \\ { \sf \: a_{25} = 5-12.5+0.5}\\  { \sf \: a_{25} = 5.5-12.5 }\\{ \boxed { \sf { \purple { a_{25} = -7}}}}
