Area of circumference = 2πr²

22 = 2πr²

11 = πr²

r² = 22/7 × 11

r² = 2/7

r = √2/√7

Area of circle = πr²

= 22/7 × (√2/√7)²

= 22/7 × 2/7

= 44/49

Answer:

Let r be the radius of the circle.

Then, Circumference=22cm

⇒2πr=22

⇒2× 22/7×r=22

⇒r= 7/2cm

∴ Area of the circle=πr²

= 22/7× 7/2 ×7/2 cm²

=38.5cm²
