By using Pythagoras theorem we find diagonal

so diagonal is 13 cm

Now we find the area of shaded region.

area of shade region is equal to area of circle - area of rectangle

= πr² - l*b

= here diameter of circle is 13 cm

= π*169/4 - 12*4

= 3.14*42.25 - 48

= 132.665 - 48

= 84.665 cm²

The area of shaded region is 84.665 cm²

Hope it is helpful !!!
