Curved surface area of bowl

given that radius is R and thickness R/8 .

bowl is look likes a hemisphere.We have to find outer surface area with radius R  and inner surface area with radius R/8

Surface area of hemisphere with radius R = 2πR^2

outer surface area = 2πR^2

inner surface area =2p(R -R/8)^2 = 2π(7R/8)^2 =(49/32)pR2

Total surface area =2πR^2 + (49/32)πR^2 =(113/32)πR^2
