Hey folk..

Good question..

Here's your answer..

________________________________________________

Given- A rectangle with length=8cm,breadth=2cm and height=4√2 cm...

To determine-Longest rod=Diagonal of the cuboidal room

Formula used..
 \sqrt{ {l}^{2} + {b}^{2} + {h}^{2} } = length \: of \: diagonal

Calculations-
 \sqrt{ {8}^{2} + {2}^{2} + {4 \sqrt{2} }^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{64 + 4 + 32} \\ = \sqrt{100} \\ \\ = 10cm
Thus, length of the longest rod in the room comes out to be 10cm long.

Here,
Length:8cm
Width:2 cm
Height:4root 2 cm
Therefore room is of cuboidal shape.
Therefore,by using formula of digonals cuboid we get:
