by factorisation method it can't possible because there is no multiples of 23 at all because it's an prime number

so u can find the nature of roots by formula of discriminant and also find the roots by the universal formula of quadratic equation

D=b^2-4ac

=> (2)^2-4(1)(-23)

=> 4-92

=> -88

therefore, roots are not real roots

therefore, there is no roots for this quadratic equation
