sin²A + cos²A = 1

∴ cos²A = 1 - sin²A

∴ cos²A = 1 - (1/2)²

∴ cos²A = 1 - 1/4

∴ cos²A = 3/4

cosA = \sqrt{3}/2 ....taking sq. rt

Now,

sin2A = 2sinAcosA

          = 2(1/2)(\sqrt{3}/2)

 sin2A = \sqrt{3}/2
