Following are the steps in one type of gene
therapy.
(i) Inject engineered cells into patients bone
marrow.
(ii) Viral DNA carring the normal allele inserts
into chromosome.
(iii) Let retrovirus infect bone marrow cells that
have removed from patient and cultured.
(iv) Insert RNA version of normal allele into
retrovirus.
The correct sequence is –
(a) (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) (b) (iv), (iii), (ii) and (i)
(c) (i), (ii), (iv) and (iii) (d)(iv), (iii), (i) and (ii)

Steps of gene therapy are in sequence - (b) (iv), (iii), (ii) and (i)

Gene therapy is a method to correct the genetic sequence of an organism, to remove any disorder caused due to it.

There are various vectors used for transferring correct genetic material which includes many types of viruses as well.

The sequence of gene therapy is - vector is introduced with desired genetic material.

The cells which have to be modified are cultured in vitro and injected with vector containing desired genetic material.

The cells combined with vector, now known as recombinant cell, are inserted back into organism.

The vectors' genetic material gets incorporated into organisms" genome, and expressed during normal transcription and translation.

Thus, correcting the disorder.
