Friction acts on a moving body in opposite direction . But when the object is stationary why doesn’t friction act o it and make it move in the direction of the force acting

as friction is opposite to motion and then if the motion is zero so the friction will be zero therefore it doesn't act on object

Moving body is applying force.So friction works in opposite direction.But when an object is stationary, then it is not applying any force.So if the force is zero then friction too.
