Answer:
Lencho's crop was totally destroyed. He had faith in God. He wrote a letter to God asking for a hundred pesos as help. The postmaster and employees collected seventy pesos only and sent the money to him. Lencho thought that the employees had stolen 30 pesos. He wrote another letter to God for 30 pesos more but not through post office. He called the employees 'a bunch of crooks'. So by this cause Lencho had faith in God but doesn't have any faith in humanity.
True
Explanation :
This can be seen from the instances in the chapter where Lencho is compared to the ox.
Also he was a farmer and a farmer has to do a lot of hardwork to grow crops.

Answer:
Answer 1.)
True, Lencho had a loss in his farm due to a heavy storm . he wrote a letter to god stating that he had loss in his farm and he does not have food for his family .He asked god to give him 100 pesos so that he can sow his farm again .He trusted god a lot .
Once he received the letter he counted the money . there were only 70 pesos in it . he thought that the people working in the post office had taken his 30 pesos . again he wrote a letter telling god that his money was stolen by the crooks working in the post office. this shows that he had faith in god but he did not have faith in humanity
Here the post master himself collects money and gives to Lencho but Lencho does not know about it
This shows that he lacked faith in humanity.
Answer 2.)
True.
He is a poor farmer who is the sole bread-earner of the family. He had faith in God. Lencho lived in a small house which was situated on the crest of a low hill in the valley. His house was the only house in the entire valley. He lived with his wife and his sons. The elder ones used to work with him in the fields and the younger ones played near the house. Throughout the morning Lencho sat in his house and waited for the rain to come. He wished for the rain or the shower for his field in which he had grown his crops. The rain would help his crops to get prepared for their harvest. He saw the sky in the North-east. He assumed that they would be getting a good rain that day. This would help his crops to grow more effectively.
This shows that he was worried about his family.
