In the year 1976, the parliament incorporated the Fundamental duties of the Indian citizen into the Constitution of India. Members of parliament added Fundamental duties in 51A article of IV part in 42nd amendment. In 1976, the Indian constitution included 10 duties. Later in 2002, 11th fundamental duty was added to the Indian constitution. The fundamental duties of the Indian citizens include protecting wildlife and natural resources, safeguarding women and children, respecting the National flag and national anthem, defending public properties from any damage and so on.
