Prashant and other volunteers were of the opinion that orphans would be devoid of love and affection which was their important need. Proper love is always required for better psychological development of a child.

Widows would have to live with the stigma of widowhood throughout their lives. It was necessary for them also to get a sense of belongingness. Society also plays a great role in providing mental comfort to people.

To create a sense of belongingness and to foster love and affection they planned to complement the needs of orphaned and childless people. They brought them under one roof to heal their mental wounds.

PRASHANT HAVING REALISED THE CONDITION DECIDED TO STEP IN AS THE LEADER OF HIS VILLAGE. HE ORGANISED GROUPS OF YOUTHS AND ELDERS TO JOINTLY PRESSURISE THE MERCHANT TO PART WITH HIS RICE AND THE PEOPLE IN THE SHELTER AFTER A LONG TIME WERE ABLE TO FILL THEIR BELLIES. HE ALSO CLEANED THE SHELTER PF FILTH, URINE, VOMIT AND FLOATING CARCASSES TO TEND TO THE WOUNDS AND FRACTURES OF MANY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INJURED ......HE MADE IT ENSURE THAT THE MILITARY HELICOPTERS FLEW OVER THE SHELTERS AND DROPPED FOOD PARCELS. HE ALSO MANAGED TO PROVIDE RECREATION TO ORPHAN CHILDREN AND WIDOWS BY ORGANISING SPORT EVENTS AND ENGAGING WOMEN IN FOOD FOR WORK PROGRAMME STARTED BY AN NGO. HE WAS A TRUE LEADER AS HE ASSINGNED PEOPLE TO DIFFERENT WORK SO THAT IT REDUCED TIME, HE WAS ALSO INTELLIGENT AND HELPED THE PEOPLE OF THE VILLAGE IN THEIR DARKEST HOUR OF GRIEF.
