ALUMINIUM AND ZINC METALS ARE MODERATE REACTIVE METALS. THEY UNDERGO REACTION WITH OXYGEN PRESENT IN THE AIR TO FORM A LAYER OF THEIR METAL OXIDE. THIS PROTECTIVE LAYER PREVENTS THE METAL FROM FURTHER OXIDATION AND THUS PREVENTING REACTION WITH AIR (OXYGEN). HENCE THEY DO NOT CORRODE EASILY.
