Give reason why after rains wet roads dry quickly

It is generally seen that after heavyrain the wet road dries quickly. The biggest reason is the that evaporation takes place and is able to dry up wet roads very quickly. Especially if the weather becomes sunny. It can also be due to drainage of water in the bedrock underneath the roads.
