as root 3 is an irrational no. so if any constant is added it would be an irrational no.

we have to prove (5+root 3) is irrational
let us assume the opposite.
i.e, 5-root 3 is rational
hense 5-root 3 can be written in the form of a/b
where a and b are co-prime no.
