Gold is found in nature in pure state but not iron why

Gold is the least reactive metal. It does not react with O, C ,CO3- etc. to form any compound and hence always found in free state. Fe is a reactive metal . It react with the atmospheric oxygen to form oxide and thus it is mostly found in oxide form
