Yes greenhouse effect is a necessary evil .Because it traps the solar heat energy coming to our atmosphere at the day time and does not allow it to escape out during the night.It helps in growing flowers and vegetables in snow bound areas in a special glass house called greenhouse .In cold countries, windows are double paneled which produces greenhouse effect and keeps the room reasonably warm. But at the same time it is leading to global warming which melts the polar ice caps leading in an increase in the level of sea water by a few meters which can cause disastrous flood in the islands and coastal areas .
So at last we can conclude that greenhouse effect is a necessary evil.
