Here are some barrier methods

1. Condoms are one of the contraceptive methods for men.

2. Diaphragm are used by women as contraceptive methods.

3. Chemicals in the form of pills are induced either orally or inserted into female sexual organ vagina.

4. The use of intra - uterine device called copper-T,loop etc.

5. Spermicides are also available now a days for males.

6. Surgical methods of birth control are available for males as well as females.

In males a portion of vasdeferens or sperm duct is removed by surgical method called vasectomy.

In females a small portion of oviduct or fallopian tube is removed by surgical method and the cut ends are tired this prevents the ovum from entering into the oviducts this is called tubectomy.
