Osmosis may be defined when water molecules move from higher concentration to lower concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. Example of osmosis is when we kept dates (khajoor) in water after some time the water moves from high concentration to lower concentration.that water moves to dates due to which the dates appear fresh and heavier.
