hey guys! ! please define the process of rainbow formation
Answers
The Rainbow is an example of dispersion of Sunlight by water drops in the atmosphere this is a phenomenon due to combined effect of dispersion refraction and reflection of Sunlight by a spherical water droplets of rain .the condition for observing rainbow are the sun should be sending in one part of the sky while it is raining in opposite of the sky ,An observer can therefore see a rainbow only when his back is towards the sun!!
It is formed by the reflection and refraction of the sunrays through raindrops. A RAINBOW IS A NATURAL SPECTRUM APPEARING IN THE SKY AFTER A RAIN SHOWER. IT IS CAUSED BY DISPERSION OF SUNLIGHT BY TINY WATER DROPLETS PRESENT IN THE ATMOSPHERE. A RAINBOW IS ALWAYS FORMED IN A DIRECTION OPP.

The sun plays an important part in forming rainbows. The sun shines through the water particles and the water particles act like prisms. A prism is an object that is transparent, or see-through, and when light passes through it, it gets 'bent' or spread out into a bunch of different colors.
