HERE IS UR ANS:-

let g(d) be the acceleration due to gravity at a depth d, below earth surface.

g(d)=g(1-d/r)

where R=radius of earth=6371km

according to question:-

9.8/100=9.8(1-d/6371)

1/100=1-d/6371

6371-(6371/100)=d

d=6307.29km

6307.29 KM BELOW THE SURFACE OF EARTH,THE ACCELERATION DUE TO GRAVITY WILL BE 1% OF ITS VALUE AT ITS EARTH SURFACE.

Hope this may help u ^0^
