How can phenol be converted to aspirin?

first prepare salicyclic acid

and then acetylation of salicylic acid gives aspirin

Reaction of phenol with NaOH and CO2 (Kolbe–Schmitt reaction), then with H2SO4 gives salicylic acid.

On Addition of Acetic anhydride to salicylic acid turn the hydroxyl group into an ester giving Asprin.
